This Privacy Policy applies to personal information, which is collected and processed by Taco Technologies (ABN 75 629 286 700) (Taco, us, we, our), both online and offline and including personal information concerning our customers, resellers, business partners, suppliers, contractors, employees, former employees, and applicants for employment (“you”).
If, in the course of supplying products and services to you, we gain access to personal information located on your system, such as information about your employees, contractors, customers, partners, or suppliers (collectively “operational data”), at your request we will enter into a data processing agreement with you and will process your operational data in accordance with that agreement. This Privacy Policy will not apply to your customer data unless you and Taco agree that this Privacy Policy will apply to processing of your operational data.

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
Fulfilling your order – if you order products or services from us or through our resellers, we will use your personal information to fulfil your order. If your order includes an order for an ongoing service (eg: software maintenance and support), we will use your personal information to set you up in our service request system and respond to your service requests. In some cases, we may share your personal information with others, for instance, our resellers, business partners, freight handlers and service providers involved in fulfilling your order and satisfying your service requests.
We may also contact you as part of our customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
Our reseller network – we have a network of resellers who sell products and services on our behalf. If you enquire about a product or service, we may share your personal information with our resellers so that they can respond to your inquiry.
Our business partners – we resell products and services which are supplied by our business partners (eg: software, cloud services), we may share your personal information with those business partners in order to fulfil your order and provide support and implementation services to you.
Hosted software (SaaS) – if we are supplying you with a hosted software application, we may disclose your personal information to the third party cloud provider to enable us to provide you with access to the hosted application.

Channel Connect – if your organisation registers a Channel Connect account on our website, we will collect personal information about members of your organisation and your organisation’s resellers. We will use this information to set up and manage your organisation’s account and allow your members and resellers to request quotes and place orders for our products and services and to enable us to fulfil those orders. If you provide personal information to us about your organisation’s members and resellers, you warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents of those individuals prior to providing their information to us.
Personalising your experience – we may use information we collect about you to provide you with a personalised experience on our website and to make navigation on our sites easier and more efficient (for further information, please refer to the section below titled “Our use of cookies”).
Webinars – if you register for a webinar on our website, you will be directed to a Zoom.US page to provide personal details which Zoom will provide to us to enable us to register you for the webinar and send you the login details. We encourage you to read Zoom’s terms and conditions and privacy statements so that you understand how they may process your personal information.
Marketing – personal information you provide to us, as well as the information we have lawfully collected about you from third parties, may be used by us for marketing purposes. We will offer you the opportunity to opt-in to our use of your information for marketing purposes. Social media – if you follow us or interact with us on social media platforms, please be aware that those platforms may collect your personal information and disclose it to us. Any content you post on social media platforms, such as pictures, information, opinions, or any other type of personal information that you make available to other participants on these platforms, is subject to the terms and conditions and any privacy statement published by those platforms and is also subject to our own data processing activities. Protection of our rights and property – we may use or share your personal information to protect our rights or property or the rights and property of our resellers, business partners, suppliers, customers, or others when we have reasonable grounds to believe that such rights or property have been or could be affected. This may include disclosing your personal information as required by applicable law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the rights of others, or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, law enforcement request or legal obligations imposed upon us.
Recruitment – if you apply for a job with us or inquire about employment with us, we will collect the personal information which you or a recruiter provides to us (eg: your resume) and will use that information to assess your application or respond to your inquiry. If you have provided us with referees, we may also collect further personal information about you from those referees and will use that information to assess your suitability for employment. When we use the word ‘employment’ we are referring to your potential engagement as an employee or an independent contractor.
